Obituary

Mr. Tommy Lee Thompson was born February 21, 1955 to the late Warren Thompson and the late Katie Mae Blount Thompson. He departed this life on October 30, 2026, following an extended stay at Glenflora Nursing Home.

Tommy was educated in the Public Schools of Robeson County.

Affectionately known as "Tom Cat" or "Nate," Tommy had a love for WWE wrestling. His favorite wrestlers included John Cena and Sasha Banks, and he enjoyed watching them compete.

Tommy had a loving heart and was loved by everyone who knew him. During his stay at Glenflora Nursing Home, he developed an appreciation for the nursing staff, who extended kindness, compassion, and love to him and his family. His family is grateful for the care and support provided by the staff throughout his time there.

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Warren Thompson and Katie Mae Blount Thompson; his brothers, Warren Thompson, Jr., Willie Lee Thompson, Albert Thompson, and Carl Lee Thompson; and his sisters, Mary Mason and Bessie Ross.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory two brothers, David Lee Thompson of Bladenboro, North Carolina, and James Edward Thompson of Elizabethtown, North Carolina; three sisters, Catherine Lesane of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Thelma Patricia Edens of Red Springs, North Carolina, who served as his primary caregiver; and Katie (Thomas) Fulmore of Hope Mills, North Carolina. He also leaves two special nieces, Dr. Erickia McNair and Linikki Thompson, along with other loving relatives and friends who will forever treasure his memory

Though Tommy's earthly journey has ended, the love he shared and the memories he leaves behind will continue to live in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
