Mr. Thomas "Nugie" Brooks Jr. age 66 of Red Springs, North Carolina was born on July 13, 1957, to the late Thomas "Boucom" Brooks and Mrs. Verline "Judy" Lowery Brooks in Scotland County, North Carolina. He departed this life to his eternal home on March 25, 2024, surrounded by his family. Along with his father he was preceded in death by a brother, John Glenn Brooks.

Thomas "Nugie" leaves to cherish his memories his mother: Verline "Judy" Lowery Brooks, one son: Jason Brooks (Amber), his companion of twenty-two years Barbara Roberts, three brothers: Earl Stacey Brooks, James Eddie McMillan, Ray Brooks (Kay), one sister: Anna Clark (Randy), special nephews: Stacey Clark, Thomas Strong (Peggy), Timothy Strong (Aundrea), Thomas Bradley Strong (Holanda), Richmond Cummings, Special nieces: Bobbie Jo Clark, Kirstyn Locklear, Hailey Locklear, Amber Locklear, Mayleah Strong, Elliana Strong, grandchildren: Katelyn Brooks, Skylar Brooks, Ayla Brooks (Yamning), his pet Charlie, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
