Mr. Shon Dale Locklear of Maxton, North Carolina was born on November 12, 1971, to the late Curley Locklear and the late Reba Mae Jones Locklear in Scotland County, North Carolina. He departed this life on Saturday, February 27, 2021, completing his journey of 48 years. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson Braylynn Locklear, paternal grandparents Curtis and Adline Locklear, maternal grandparents James and Jessie Lee Jones, special aunt and uncle Reedy Bell and Albert Bullard.

He leaves to cherish his memories two daughters Rebecca Locklear of Maxton, North Carolina, Kimberly Locklear of Virginia, one son Brandon Locklear of Maxton, North Carolina, two brothers Curley Locklear Jr. and Pamela of Maxton, North Carolina, Martin Dean Locklear and Sharon of Pembroke, North Carolina, one sister Melissa Locklear of Maxton, North Carolina, one grandson Terry Smiling of Maxton, North Carolina, eleven nieces and nephews, his girlfriend Christy Van Sickle, along with a host of loving family and friends.
