Mrs. Sherry Hunt age 60, of Dundalk, Maryland, was born on January 26, 1961, to the late Tasley Locklear and the late Dileatha Locklear in Scotland County, North Carolina. She departed this life into eternity on Thursday, November 25, 2021, at Scotland Memorial Hospital, Laurinburg, North Carolina. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Johnny Locklear.

Sherry was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and a friend to so many. She cared deeply for her family, church family and neighbors. She had a big heart and gave to others, not because of obligation because of her compassionate heart. She was First Lady at South Broadway Baptist Church in Baltimore MD. Sherry loved people, enjoyed cooking, serving, and the shoe box ministry with the WMU'S. She was also known to many as Mama Sherry because she was always so giving with words of encouragement, and whatever she could offer. She enjoyed her job working at the Bakery and would always bring bread to share with her family in North Carolina. Sherry will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, lovable hugs, and having a fresh cup of coffee. She would always refer to her husband as the pastor or the preacher and she will truly be missed.

Mrs. Sherry leaves to cherish her memories her husband: Rev. Robert ( BJ) Hunt of the home, two sons: Torrey Locklear and Brannagon Dial (Aria), three brothers: David Locklear (Heidi), James Ray (Emma Lee), Terry Oxendine, two sisters: Eloise Clark (Jackie), Laura Ann Strongs (David), four grandchildren: Tyler, Destiny, Mason, Giovanni, one great-grandchild: Topanga, two special friends: Anna Hammonds (Danny) and Frances Dial, (Anthony) along with a host of other relatives and friends.
