Mr. Ronald Lee Chavis age 74 of Red Springs, North Carolina was born on July 30, 1945 to the late Mr. Henry Chavis and the late Mrs. Maggie Jackson Chavis in Robeson County. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by a stepmother, Janie C. Chavis, his brothers, Leeromie (Bud) Chavis, Henry Chavis Jr, Albert Chavis, Ernest Chavis, two sisters, Mary Callahan and Annie C. Emanuel,

He leaves to cherish his memories, seven sisters, Shelby Jane Locklear, Eyvonnie Pevia, Lilly Mae Oxendine, Lora Ann McMIllian, Janie Ruth Scott, Frances Locklear, and Sharon Locklear. three brothers, Carlie Chavis, Harlie Chavis ,and Thurman Chavis. two children he raised as his grandchildren, T.J. Locklear, and Tywania Quevia. A host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
