Mr. Ricky Haywood, age 56 of Red Springs, North Carolina was born April 12, 1965 to the late Mr. Johnny Haywood and the late Mrs. Mary McKinnon Haywood in Lumberton, North Carolina.  Ricky departed this life to eternal rest with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, August 2, 2021 at Southeastern Reg. Medical Center in Lumberton, North Carolina. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Johnnie Mae Haywood and Mary Gail McKinnon McBryde.

Ricky was blessed with a rich velvety voice, and he loved to serenade family and friends.

Ricky leaves to cherish his memory; one son, Romeo Haywood, three godchildren, Kameron, Quamaine and Ciera; a special friend, Nicole Bethune two brothers, Tony Haywood (Nikki) and Kenneth (Pookie) McKinnon (Shirley) both of Raeford, North Carolina; two sisters, Clara Haywood Lane (Jeff) and Shonda Haywood Howard, both of Raeford, North Carolina;  two aunts, Clara Govan (Joseph), of Ashley Heights, North Carolina; and Evelene Williams, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania;  and a  host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
