Mr. Prentice Locklear age 85 of Maxton, North Carolina was born on June 15, 1936 to the late Mr. Charlie Callahan and the late Mrs. Sarah Lester Locklear. He departed this earthly life into his heavenly home on Saturday July 10, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family.  Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by two grandchildren, Alan Micheal Jacobs and Deonna Danielle Locklear.

Mr. Prentice was loving father, grandfather, brother, and a friend to all that knew him. He enjoying attending Maxton Fresh Manna PH Church, singing, and reading his bible. One of his favorite chapters was Psalms 91." He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the almighty. I will say of of the Lord, he is my refuge and my fortress: My God in him will I trust.

He leaves to cherish his memories, two sons, Rev. Vincent Locklear and Prentice Jr. Locklear both of Maxton, North Carolina; Five daughters, Darlene Davis (David) of Shannon, North Carolina; Lorna Hunt (Rev. Timmy ) of Laurinburg, North Carolina; Tonya Jacobs (Alan), Dolly Locklear all of Red Springs, North Carolina; Paula Jacobs of Maxton, North Carolina. Three brothers, Delton Ray Locklear of Burlington, North Carolina; Lance Locklear of Columbus Ohio, and Bobby Callahan of Laurinburg, North Carolina; seventeen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
