PFC  Ma'Kayela Audreyonna Chagolla age 19 of Fayetteville, North Carolina was born on June 13, 2002, to the late Michael Antonio Chagolla and Britny S. Holmes in Cumberland County, North Carolina. She departed this life on August 6, 2021, in Germany.

Ma'Kayela proudly served her country in the United States Army. She was a 2020 graduate of Hoke County High School. In her junior year, she was first female cadet and also completed EMT. Ma'Kayela enjoyed dancing, fishing, singing, eating, and spending time with her family. She was proud of her Native American Culture and was a jingle dress dancer.

She leaves to cherish her memories her mother: Britny Susan Holmes of the home, one brother: James D.Holmes, one sister: Riley J. Muse both of the home, maternal grandparents: Patricia Jacobs (Floro), Antonio Holmes, paternal grandparents: Tony and Delphane Chagolla, great grandmother: Lucille Locklear, aunts: Toni Oxendine (Ian), Janet Scott (Stanley), uncles: Johnny Chagolla (Jackie), Pedro Davila (Ann), Anthony Dunn, thirteen cousins: Angel, Triston, Kayley, Nayka, Pedro, Elora, Nicholas, Josiah, Zackariah, Isabella, Tyler, Alex, Serenity, twelve great aunts, seven great uncles, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
