Mrs. Pearlie Brooks, age 68 of Shannon, North Carolina entered into her heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 29, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 11, 1953 to her parents, the late Mr. Marl Locklear and the late Mrs. Jessie Ree Locklear. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daugher, Maria Brooks, her brother, Danny Locklear, sisters, Rosie and Lillie Locklear. two twin granddaughters, Aria D'asia Locklear, and Ariel D'Niya Locklear.

Mrs. Pearlie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to so many. She enjoyed ministering to others through song. Her joy was her family and spending time with them.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of fifty years, Rev. William Brooks, three daughters, Sherrie Jernigan (Deric), Rose McNeill (Rev. Terrell McNeill)  and Anita Locklear (Joshua) all of Shannon, North Carolina; one brother, Rev Larry Locklear (Carolyn),  three sisters, Jane Locklear of Raeford, North Carolina; Kathy Locklear, Glenda Locklear both of Shannon, North Carolina; eight grandchildren, Deric Jr, Dariene, Bethany, R'gintina ( Cody), Triston, Ethen, O'niya, Aiyana. one great-grandson, Dawson; son-in-law, Daniel Locklear, special friends, Sylvia Locklear, Mona Oxendine, Edith Jones, Rhonda Locklear and a host of other relatives and friends.
