Mrs. Patsy Strickland age 81 of Maxton, North Carolina was born on July 06, 1941 to the late Mr. Johnny C. Locklear and the late Mrs. Cattie Barton Locklear in Robeson County. She departed this life on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Strickland, one daughter, Belinda Strickland, five brothers, Homer Locklear, Roy Locklear, Bill Locklear, Johnny Jr. Locklear, Donald Ray Locklear. two sisters, Diane Sanderson, Suzanne Locklear, two great-grandchildren, Oakley Lajade Locklear, Athena Rose Scriven.

She leaves to cherish her memories, three daughters, Gwendolyn Strickland of Maxton, North Carolina; Cheryl Strickland of Pembroke, North Carolina; Sammy Locklear of Rowland, North Carolina; three brothers, Tommy Locklear and William (Snorten) Locklear both of Lumberton, North Carolina; Marshall Locklear of Pembroke, North Carolina; three sisters, Juanita Locklear, Mary Rose Locklear and Cathy Locklear all of Pembroke, North Carolina. nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
