Mrs. Myrtle Locklear age 80 entered into her eternal home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, January 29, 2021, at Morrison Manor in Scotland County, surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Myrtle was born on September 18, 1940, to her parents, the late Mr. Justin Hunt and the late Mrs. Mandy Hunt Locklear in Robeson County. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Billy G (Sam) Locklear.

She leaves to cherish her memories, two sons: Cagle Lynn Locklear and wife Brenda of St. Pauls, North Carolina; James Eric Locklear and wife Frances of Parkton, North Carolina; two daughters: Carol Jean Jones of Parkton, North Carolina; and Kimberly Locklear and Anthony Jones of Maxton, North Carolina; nine grandchildren: Elvis Locklear, Kevin Jones, Kenneth Jones, Christopher Jones, Brandon Jones, Cagle M. Locklear, Geronimo Locklear, Justin Locklear, and Jacoma Locklear.  fourteen great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
