Ms. Melissa Faye Locklear age 43 of Red Springs, North Carolina was born on July 25, 1980, to the late Betty Carol Locklear and Carson Locklear in Robeson County, North Carolina. She departed this life on December 17, 2023, at Morrison Manor, Laurinburg, North Carolina. Along with her mother she was preceded in death by a daughter Marissa Anesia Locklear, and a brother Vincent Ray Locklear.

Melissa was known for faith and love, even though she was sick she didn't let that stop her, she stood by her faith and God. She was a member of Fresh Start Ministry located in Saddletree. To know Melissa was to love her. She enjoyed shopping and getting her nails done. She was very fond of butterflies and cooking. Christmas was her favorite holiday, she couldn't wait for it to come. Melissa was so full of love even though the doctor granted her 6 - 12 weeks of life she still lived life to the fullest and never lost faith.

Melissa leaves to cherish her memories one son: Adante Locklear (Shania) of Maxton, North Carolina, three daughters: Ayiana Locklear, Charisma Locklear and Anesia Locklear all of Red Springs, North Carolina, her father: Carson Locklear, two sisters: Vicki Castrejon and Peggy Locklear both of Red Springs, North Carolina, special companion: Brandon Hucks, three grandchildren: Mathias Locklear, Xander Randleman, Nayelli Locklear, nine nephews and nieces: Joshua Allen Locklear, Sherwood Locklear III (Alyssa), Shane Locklear (Zeara), Jordan Locklear, Terry Wayne Rice, Vinson Locklear, Jacobe Locklear, Kristen Locklear, Gracieanna Locklear, Adriana Castrejon, Erika Castrejon, Victoria Clark, Derek Geronimo, twenty-one great nieces and nephews, along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Family will be receiving friends and family at the home of Peggy Locklear, 2211 South Duffie Rd, Red Springs, North Carolina 28377
