Master Jayce Aaron Chavis the precious baby boy of Joshua Chavis and Caitlynn Brooks was born into eternity on Friday, May 22, 2020 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton, North Carolina. Jayce is preceded in death by his paternal great-grandparents Brooks and Mattie Bell Chavis; his uncle Darnell A. Locklear.

He is survived by his parents Joshua Chavis and Caitlynn Brooks of the home; his brother, Joshua Jolon Chavis of the home; sister, Skyla Chavis of the home; maternal grandmother: Marsha Jacobs of Pembroke,North Carolina; maternal grandfather, Jim Brooks of Maxton, North Carolina; paternal grandparents: Darnell and Janice Chavis of Shannon, North Carolina; maternal great-grandparents, Malcolm and Mary Ann Jacobs of Pembroke, North Carolina; paternal great-grandparents: Furman and Martha Locklear of Shannon, North Carolina; maternal great grandparents: Ervin and Rose Brooks of Maxton, North Carolina; grandfather John Locklear of Maxton, North Carolina.
