Mrs. Mary Bell Locklear age 84, of Maxton, North Carolina was born on September 23, 1941, to the late Norvell Bullard and the late Jessie Bell Jones in Robeson County, North Carolina. She departed this life on July 4, 2026, at her residence. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Locklear Jr., a son, Ricky Nelson Locklear, a daughter, Essie Mae Milligan, grandson, Elliot O'Bryan Bethea, great grandchildren, Anthony and Elliot, six brothers, four sisters.

Mrs. Mary leaves to cherish her memories one daughter: Vickie Locklear, one sister: Florence Ella Bullard, a dear friend that we give great thanks to for all she has done: Patricia McMillian, ten grandchildren: Donnie, Lonnie, Christopher, Aaron, Makayla, Jeffrey, Ashley, Robert, Carlos, David Darryl, ten great grandchildren: Lonnie Jr., Edward Dean, Elaina, Elliot Jr., Coby, Johavan, Ziesha, Tuscany, Ziana, Ziashia, great great grandchildren: Riley Dean, Zaphoria, seven babies, her great great nieces, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
