Mrs. Mary Helen Gibson Pittman age 74 of Red Springs, North Carolina was born on September 21, 1949, to the late Mr. Henry Gibson and late Mrs. Bertha L. Patterson Gibson in Robeson County. She departed this life into eternity on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by one brother, Robert C. Gibson and one sister, Sara Gibson Williams

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Mr. Emanuel Pittman of the home, two sons; Mr. Aaron Pittman of Maryland; Mr. Gabriel Pittman of Pennsylvania; one daughter Miss Joy Pittman of Red Springs, North Carolina; three brothers, Mr. Henry Gibson Jr of Red Springs, North Carolina; Mr. James Thomas Gibson of Manhattan, NY; Mr. Christopher Gibson of Raleigh, North Carolina; four sisters, Rev. Betty J. Holley of Staten Island, NY; Mrs. Lee G. Gibson Farrow of Brooklyn, NY; Mrs. Francine McLean of Richmond VA; Mrs. Barbara Ann McLean of Lumberton, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Aaron Emanuel Pittman, Karin Arizona Carthens and a host of other relatives and friends
