Mrs. Marcella Locklear, age 61 years old, of 5339 Prospect Road, Maxton, North Carolina was born May 10, 1965. Marcella departed this life at her home, surrounded by loved ones on August 12, 2026.

She was the daughter of the late Mr. Valdosta Locklear and the late Mrs. Gertrude C. Locklear. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Truitt Locklear, brothers, Mr. Donald Chavis, Mr. Earnest Harris, Mr. Leroy Robert Oxendine, and Mr. Jimmy Blue; sisters Mrs. Roxie A. Locklear, Ms. Vertie Mae Cummings, and Ms. Jennifer Smith.

She is survived by brothers, Mr. Jimmy (Myron), and Mr. Larry, all of Maxton, North Carolina; sisters, Ms. Cynthia, Mrs. Paula Faye (Scotty), Ms. Eva Mae, Mrs. Teresa (Danny), Ms. Gail, Mrs. Flora Mae (Hal), and Ms. Valentina, all of Maxton, North Carolina; Ms. Lora Lee, of Raleigh, North Carolina; and Mrs. Sandra, of Rowland, North Carolina; Marcella had a host of nieces and nephews that she considered her own. She had a deep love for all of her family members. Marcella had one true friend, April Locklear that was by her side no matter what. Marcella will be missed by everyone that knew her.
