Mrs. Lynda Hammonds age 63 of Shannon, North Carolina was born on October 22, 1959 in Robeson County and departed this life into eternity on January 04, 2023 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by one son, Ronald Hammonds, parents, Lester Blanks and Zadie Blanks, grandson, Issac, four sisters, Tammy Steed, Wanda Jane, Janice Blanks, and Mabel Ester Mains, two brothers, Leslie Blanks, and Ray Steed.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Wilbert Hammonds of the home, five sons: Allen Carter, Steven Carter, Donald Hammonds, Patrick Hammonds, (Nasbaldo), and Matthew Hammonds; two daughters: Latoria Oxendine (Cliff), and Brandi Taylor (Jaden); Three brothers, Ricky Blanks, Keith Blanks, and Daniel Mains. Fifteen grandchildren, Lyndia, Laila, Nacoya,Jhauna Jamia, Malachi, Shalako, Jayami, Anisa, Jacoby, Isabella, Cadence, Dakota, Alejandra, Mackenzie. six great grandchildren, Janova, Jahana, Erica, Caden, Ronald Neil, Edward. special niece, Amy Lynn, a special and loving mother in law, Annie Hammonds, a dear friend and sister in law, Lora Ann Locklear. A host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
