Mrs. Lora Marie Jones Locklear of Shannon was born to the late Martin L. Jacobs and Eva Bowens Jacobs on June 11, 1951, in Scotland County and was born into eternity on Saturday, March 9, 2024 completing her journey of 72 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Denise Jones Black as well as her siblings Henry Jacobs, Anthony Jacobs, Timothy Jacobs, Dwight Jacobs, Rev. James Jacobs, Elaine Jacobs, Judy Oxendine and Rev. Martin Jacobs.

Mrs. Locklear loved the Lord. She enjoyed family gatherings, and watching her grandkids and great grands grow up. She was a devoted member of Shannon Assembly of God for many years.

She leaves to cherish her memories two sons: Dewayne Jones (Tonya) of Raeford, and Jody Jones (Brenda) of Shannon, three sisters: Donna Darner of Green Bay, Annette Chavis of Raeford and Lisa Locklear (Don) of Shannon, her grandchildren: Jasmine Maynor (Deobrae) of Raeford, Amber Jones, Faith Black, Aaliyah Black, James Black of Shannon, Fantasia Jones of Arkansas, Mikayla Jones and Logan Jones of Shannon, Ayden Jones of Goldsboro, Nicholas and Jacob Jones of Laurinburg, seven great grandchildren: Demi, Deobrae, Nadiyah, Bryson, Londyn, Heavenly and Huxley, along with a host of relatives, friends and church family.
