Mrs. Lizzie Mae Chavis age 65 of Laurinburg, North Carolina was born on October 16, 1956 to the late Mr. Raymond Driggers and the late Mrs.Virginia Troublefield Driggers in Scotland County. North Carolina; She departed this life into eternity on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Atrium Health Hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Calvin " Pete" Chavis, three brothers, Raymond Driggers Jr, Frank Troublefield, Terry Driggers and one sister, Joann Chavis.

She leaves to cherish her memories, Calvin "Spanky" Chavis and wife Rebecca of McColl, South Carolina; two daughters, Anita Chavis and husband Johnny of Laurinburg, North Carolina; Jennifer C. Locklear of Laurinburg, North Carolina; one brother, Charles Driggers of Wagram, North Carolina; one sister, Yvonne Tyson and husband Jeff of Laurel Hill, North Carolina; six grandchildren, Diamond Haywood, Pam Haywood, Taylor Chavis, Hunter Chavis, W.J. Allen, Isabel Allen, Marcus "Red Cloud" Locklear. special nephew, Ty Tyson,  A host of other relatives and friends.
