Lisa Shaw was born on October 22, 1967 in Bronx, New York. She was preceded in death by Doris Jean Shaw (mother), Albert DeLoatch (father), Stefan Shaw (brother). She is survived by her daughter, Doris Virlissea Shaw; two grandchildren Layla Ann Pittman and Landen Amir Pittman, three Goddaughters Shaniqua Clark of New York, Meria Cooper of Red Springs, , Zahria Roper of Fayetteville, NC ; 2 God grandchildren, Amari C Barkers and ZaKiya N. Fairley; three uncles, Sylvester Allen, New York City; Simeon Chatman (Rita) Red Springs, NC; Michael Chatman (Maria), Bladensburg, NC; two sisters of love, Michele Mizell (Georgia) and Eleanor Foxworth (Charles), Red Springs, NC; Cousin/Brother of love, Joel Terrell McKoy and his children, Cameron Mckoy and Lyric Mckoy, Red Springs, NC; Niece, Latorsha Johnson, Bronx, NY; Nephew, Stefan Shaw, Pennsylvania. Finally, she expressed her thanks, blessings, and prayers to all of her aunts, uncles, and cousins, and friends who are still here and remain in God's care.
Lisa began her education at local Catholic Schools in Bronx, New York where she graduated from Saint Aquinas High School, Bronx, New York. She later attended the Borough of Manhattan Community College in Manhattan, New York. Lisa enjoyed decorating, organizing special events and making special occasions and holiday gifts. You could always recognize the outside of her home, of which she decorated every holiday and other special days of the year.
She loved her final place of employment at Macy's in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She considered Macy's to be the best place she ever worked at because of her co-workers' understanding, respect, and the joy they bought into her daily life. Lisa will be dearly missed by all who loved and supported her through her illness. May she rest in eternal peace.
