Along with his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, April Hunt Lambert, brother, Jerry Allen Lambert, maternal grandparents: Curtis and Adline Locklear, paternal grandparents: Evans and Dessie Lambert.

He leaves to cherish his children: Kim Ray Lambert Jr, Bryson Isaiah Lambert, Deja Henderson, and Christian Ray Lambert. mother, Alice Locklear Garby and stepfather James J. Garby Sr. of Maxton, North Carolina; two sisters: Bobby JO Locklear of Pembroke,North Carolina; Stephanie Faye Lambert of Pembroke, North Carolina; one brother, Ray Junior Lambert of Lumberton, North Carolina; girlfriend: Marianne Locklear, step-brother: James J.
