Ms. Katie Ruth Bailey Collins, age 70 of Maxton, North Carolina was born on December 19, 1950 in Guilford County, North Carolina to the late Mr. Colonel McGirt and Mrs. Lilian McGirt and Mrs. Emma Smith her biological mother. She departed this life into eternity on Thursday, November 11, 2021, at UNC Health Southeastern Regional Medical Center. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three sons, Phillip Brent Collins, Joshua Dante Collins and Michael Anthony Collins.

Katie leaves to cherish her memories, one son, Kent Edward Collins and fiance Melissa Phillips, along with one granddaughter, Patience Juliene Collins, four grandsons, Stephen A. Collins, Mikyle A. Collins, Midalrin A.Collins and McBrenton A. Collins. two great granddaughters, Aniya Serenity-Rose Ortiz and Eliza Faith Collins. two special daughter-in-laws, Daven Kaye Collins and Brenda Boudreaux, seven brothers, four sisters. A host of other relatives and friends.
