Mr.Johnny Ray Locklear, aged 63 was born on February 17, 1959, to the late Mr. Marshall Woodrow Locklear Sr and the late Mrs. Verdie Mae Smith Locklear in Robeson County. He departed this life into eternity on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, North Carolina. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Kenneth Locklear, Ray Woodrow Locklear, and Michael Locklear.

He leaves to cherish his memories, two sons, Jonathon Oxendine of Shannon, North Carolina, and Rommie Lee Cummings Jr of Pembroke, North Carolina; two brothers, Jerry Locklear and Marshall  Woodrow Locklear Jr(Emma Jone) all of Lumberton, North Carolina; six sisters, Marilyn Hicks of Charlotte, North Carolina; Meredith Jacobs of Maxton, North Carolina; Audrey Jane Scott of St. Pauls, North Carolina; Suzette Reed (Ricky) of Rennert, North Carolina; Lula Faye Martin (Garry) of Fairmont, North Carolina; Rita Locklear Hammonds (Ferres) of Rowland, North Carolina; seven grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
