Mr. John Dexter Murr, 53, of Red Springs, was born June 5, 1972, and passed away peacefully on December 17, 2025, following a brief illness. Mr. Murr was preceded in death by his parents, James Orben Murr and Ruby Murr Oxendine; and stepfather, Velirs Oxendine.

He is survived by one daughter, Gracen Murr; two sisters, Shelia Woods (Keith), Mary Hood (CSM Kenneth); one brother, James Murr Jr. (Julia); two special friends, William and Amy Mercer; and a host of other family and friends.
