John Archie (PJ) McNeill, Jr., was born on December 26, 1987, in Laurinburg, NC to John Archie (Peter) McNeill, Sr., and Narvis Curry McNeill. He was affectionately known as PJ. PJ was a very popular young man and met a lot of people that would become his friends. PJ was charismatic, energetic and an overall great guy. PJ was baptized at Panthersford Presbyterian Church in Red Springs, NC by Rev. Gershon B. Fiawoo. PJ started his education journey at First Baptist Church and Tiny Tots Daycare. PJ continued his education in the Public Schools of Robeson County and graduated in 2006 from Red Springs High School where he was a 2006 North Carolina Scholar, excelled in mathematics and was in the top 10% of his class. After high school he attended Fayetteville Technical College and Robeson Community College. PJ worked at Huddle House-Pembroke, Taco Bell-Lumberton, and New Life and Community Innovations as a Habilitation Tech.
PJ loved and was full of adventure, fun, joy and humor and lived his life to the fullest. In his short span of life, he met a multitude of people that were part of his journey. PJ was a great dedicated son and father to his children and spoiled them tremendously but still taught them to value life, family and friends.
PJ loved celebrating the 4th of July Holiday. PJ loved having a big party for the whole neighborhood with lots of fireworks, food (Seafood), music and fun.
PJ was fashionable and loved his matching clothes and jewelry.
On Saturday, June 20, 2026, God saw fit to call PJ home to his eternal rest from sorrow, strife and pain.
PJ leaves to cherish his fond memories, his parents, John Archie (Peter) and Narvis Curry McNeill of Pembroke, NC. His son, Cameron Bryce McNeill, daughter, Paisley Kole McNeill.
Significant other, Heather Richelle Bullard.
Special bonus daughter, Valerie A. Dial whom he raised and loved dearly
Bonus daughters, Madison M. Logan and Sai`La M. Logan.
Aunts, Christine C. Allen, Melody C Munnings, Hannah McNeill, Janice McNeill and LaVerne Blue.
One adopted uncle, Corey Black, Sr., special cousins, Brandi, Gerzale, Carnetra, Cashawn, Malcolm Jr., special friends, Rico, Debo, Justin, John and Jent and a host of other relatives and friends to many to name.
PJ was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Gilbert R. and Wonderlee J. Curry. Paternal grandparents Bland C. Sr., and Rebecca B. McNeill. Uncles, Bland C. McNeill, Jr., Gilbert R. Curry, Jr., and Terrell Blue. Aunts, Bernice McNeill, Mary L. Pearson, Ruby Holcomb, Yvonne McDougald, Lois Dennis and Linda Galbreath,
