Mrs. Jenel Oxendine Hunt, age 53 of Raeford, North Carolina, was born on March 12, 1973, to the late Jackie Oxendine and Wilma Cummings Oxendine in Robeson County, North Carolina. She departed this life to eternity on August 13, 2026, at FirstHealth Hospice in Moore County, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her father, Jackie Oxendine.

Mrs. Jenel leaves to cherish her memories; her mother: Wilma Oxendine; her husband: Willard Hunt, of the home; three sons: Dustin Michael Ransom (Alison) of Pembroke, NC, Joshua Lynn Ransom (Cassandra) of Dallas, TX, and James Roderick McGirt Jr. “Bubba” of the home; two daughters: Amber Leigh Locklear (Tristan) and Mary Elizabeth McGirt, both of Pembroke, NC; two brothers: Jackie Oxendine Jr. “Pooh” and William Michael Oxendine, both of Pembroke, NC; one sister: June Elizabeth “Sissy” Oxendine of Pembroke, NC; nine grandchildren: Dustin “Turtle” Ransom Jr., Bryson G. Ransom, Kelleigh Ransom, Braxlee McGirt, Elizabeth Lee, Alaiia Locklear, Torin Locklear, Taiomah Locklear, and Rylee Ransom; special friends: Wendy Clegg, James Seals, Jaclyn Locklear, and Roy Locklear; and a host of other relatives and friends.
