Mr. Jeffrey Dale Burney age 57 of Lumberton, North Carolina was born on June 20, 1963 to the late Mr. Clyde Burney and the late Mrs. Mary Ann Willis Burney in Robeson County. He departed this life on Monday, April 19, 2021 at UNC Southeastern in Lumberton, North Carolina. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers: Harold Pete Burney, Clyde Burney Jr, Ray Holmes, and Benny Newton, one sister: Hilda Branch.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his companion of 30 years Katja Wright, daughter, Kari Burney (Andrea) step-daughter Kaleigh Wright (Ricky) all of Lumberton, North Carolina; three sisters: Doris Burney, Betty Burney, and Vickie Cooper (Welton) all of Lumberton, North Carolina; brother, Rex Holmes, brother-in-law, Stefan Becker, five grandchildren, special nephew, John Wesley Sampson, two special nieces: Nita Henderson and Amanda Sampson. a host of other nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
