Mrs. Janine Jones Strickland age 63 of Maxton, North Carolina was born on June 21, 1960, to Mr. Harold Locklear and Mrs. Rosa Jones Locklear in Robeson County. She departed this life into eternity on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at Scotland Memorial Hospital. She is preceded in death by her husband Jack Strickland and two grandsons.

She leaves to cherish her memories, one son, Robert Michael Strickland of Maxton, North Carolina; four daughters, Jackyln Janine Jones, Victoria Shannon Jones, Kisha Lynn Strickland, all of Maxton, North Carolina; Samantha Rose Strickland of Shannon, North Carolina; her father, Harold Locklear, her mother, Rosa Jones Locklear both of Maxton, North Carolina; three brothers, Lloyd Allen Scott, John Eric Scott, and Robert Patrick Scott all of Maxton, North Carolina; two sisters, Lori Ann Locklear and Teresa Carol Scott all of Maxton, North Carolina, twenty grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, a very special friend Joshua Locklear, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
