Mrs. Janet Seals Locklear age 72 of Rockingham, North Carolina was born on February 28, 1949, to the late Luther Lowery and the late Alice Mae Seals in Robeson County, North Carolina. She departed this life on January 26, 2022, at her residence. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents Frank and Cumie Barton, her brother Henry Godwin and three grandsons.

Janet devoted herself to her family and friends. She loved fishing, hunting, joking around, cooking, and making jewelry. She never met a stranger, they would be a friend.

Janet leaves to cherish her memories two sons: Willie Seals of Randleman of North Carolina, Ricky Lynn Seals and Cindy of Rockingham, North Carolina, seven grandchildren: Michael Seals, Benjamin Seals, Elizabeth Seals, Tabatha Parsons, Kayden Seals, Nene Seals, and Brian Seals, seven great-grandchildren, six sisters: Helen Bullard, Barbara Huggins, Joyce Maynor all of Lumberton, North Carolina, Marie McMillian of Rockingham, North Carolina, Linda Seals Locklear and Dollie Lowery both of Pembroke,North Carolina, four brothers: James Willie Seals of Laurinburg, North Carolina, Richard Newton and Vicki of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Wilbert Lowery Sr. and Weldon Lowery both of Pembroke, North Carolina, a special niece: Brenda Hunt,  a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family, and friends.
