Mr. James (Jackie) Jackson Jr, age 74 of Fayetteville, North Carolina was born on August 30, 1948 to the late Mr. James Jackson and late Mrs. Bonnie Locklear Jackson in Robeson County, North Carolina. He departed this life into eternity on June 18, 2023, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, Fayetteville, North Carolina. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by one sister, Patty Talbot.

Mr. James retired from the Ohio National Guard. He later retired from Marion Correctional Institute.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Tyler Jackson of Fayetteville, North Carolina; one daughter, Tabitha Vercellino of Thornville Ohio, four brothers, Jimmie Jackson, Harold Jackson,  and Gene Jackson all of Columbus Ohio, Robert Locklear of Gibsonville, North Carolina; two sisters, Connie Folden Garish and Ann Waller both of Columbus Ohio, three grandsons, Allan Vercellino, Trevor Vercellino, Korey Vercellino and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
