Mrs. Ivene J. Hunt age 63 was born on August 3, 1958, to the late Varcy Jones and the late Blanche Oxendine Jones in Robeson County, North Carolina. She departed this life to eternity on August 10, 2021, at UNC Health Southeastern, Lumberton, North Carolina. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers: Nelson Jones, Rodney Jones, Benny Locklear, sister: Brenda Jones, a special friend: Novella Jones.

Mrs. Ivene was a great wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She taught school with the Robeson County School System and the Hoke County School System, also a Sunday School teacher at Union Chapel Holiness Methodist Church.

Mrs. Ivene leaves to cherish her memories her husband: Dwight Hunt of the home, daughter: Stevie Hunt of the home, brothers: Mitchell Jones of Pembroke, North Carolina, Byron Jones and Delores of Red Springs, North Carolina, Kent Jones and Penny of Rennert, North Carolina, sisters: Joan Demery and Michael of Pembroke, North Carolina, Norene Oxendine and Turley of Maxton, North Carolina, Irma Lambert and Kenneth of Hampton, Virginia, and Rhonda Jones Locklear of Pembroke, North Carolina, a special cousin: Joseph Jones of Pembroke, North Carolina, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
