Mr. Herman Cummings, Sr., age 75 was born on March 27, 1946 to the late Mr. Gideon Cummings and the late Mrs. Janie Bryant Cummings in Robeson County, he departed this life on Saturday , April 24 2021 and entered into eternal life. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers: Jerry Cummings, Waymon Cummings; three sisters, Susie Jane Cummings, Marie Cummings Hunt, and Cora Ann Cummings Locklear.

He leaves to cherish his wife of 52 years, Carolyn Cummings of the home, five sons; Herman Cummings Jr, Israel Cummings (Nadine Hammonds) and Kenneth Cummings all of Red Springs, North Carolina; Joshua Cummings ( Alyssa) and Jonathan Cummings ( Delilah Ann Cummings) all of Raeford, North Carolina; two,daughters, Carol Lynn Cummings of Raeford, North Carolina; Janet Cummings Cooper (Guadalupe Mendoza) of Red Springs, North Carolina; three brothers; Glenn E. Cummings, Gideon Jr. Locklear, Chancey Lawrence Locklear all of Raeford, North Carolina; two sisters: Lucille Jacobs of Raeford, North Carolina; Louise Cummings Ransom of Red Springs, North Carolina; eleven grandchildren: Gideon Charles, Casey, Ashley Nicole, Isaiah, Nakiah Dewayn Cummings, Laonna Locklear, Jayla, Kaitlynn, Sequoyah Lynn Cooper, Preston Dwayne Cooper, Summer Lynn. a special niece, Janie Cummings, A host of the nieces, nephews relatives and friends
