Mr. Herbert L.Locklear age 76 of Shannon, North Carolina was born on November 20, 1945 to the late Mr. Avery Locklear and the late Mrs. Pearlie Mae Locklear. He departed this life on Saturday, May 07, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by one son, Kelvin Locklear, one daughter, LeSondra Locklear,  four brothers, Eartle Locklear, Pernell Locklear, Fermon Locklear and Paul Locklear. three sisters, Josephine Locklear, Learie Jane Lowery and Wanda Johnson

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 51 years, Mrs. Janet Locklear of the home, two sons, Herbert Lee Locklear Jr of the home; Lee Patrick Locklear (Kecha) of Shannon, North Carolina; a foster son, Walter Dean Jones (Linda). One daughter, Tonya Locklear (Frederick) of Parkton, North Carolina; two brothers, Donald Locklear of Raeford, North Carolina; Joseph Locklear of Shannon, North Carolina; two sisters, Mable Wininger of Indiana; Pauline Locklear of Raeford, North Carolina; seven grandchildren, Kendrick, Derrick, Cacye, ,Kelsondra, ,Kelvin,Jr., Jabrien, and Jatynlee and host of other relatives and friends.
