Mrs. Heather Gertrude Smith - Hunt age 45 of Pembroke, North Carolina was born on January 31, 1977, to the late  Mr. Belton Smith and Mrs. Jennifer Oxendine Smith in Richmond, Virginia, and departed this life on October 30, 2022, at UNC Health Southeastern, Lumberton, North Carolina. Along with her father, she was preceded in death by her brother Colon Lee Oxendine, a sister Diane Smith, and mother-in-law Carol Jane Brewer Hunt.

Mrs. Heather leaves to cherish her memories her husband: James Hunt, two sons: Justin Ray Hunt and James Ray Hunt Jr., two daughters: Dana Carol Hunt and Destiny Jewel Hunt, her mother: Jennifer Oxendine Smith, one brother: Leroy Savage Smith, two sisters: Carla Faye Smith and LeAnn Oxendine, five grandchildren: Addyson Marie Hunt, Halana Elisia Locklear, Takoma Ray Hammonds, Keilon Ray Donaldson, Neziah Grason Ray Hunt, father-in-law: Herman Hunt, brothers-in-law: Eric Hunt, Derrick Hunt, Herman Lee Jones Jr. (Ginger), sister-in-law: Carolyn Brewer Jacobs, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
