Mr. Hal H. Locklear age 73 of Maxton, North Carolina was born on May 24, 1950 to the late Mr. Durant  Locklear, Jr., and the late Mrs. Lorraine Hardin Locklear in Robeson County. He departed this earthly life into eternity on February 1, 2024, at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, North Carolina. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Doris Faye Locklear, and his sister, Lisa Locklear.

Hal completed his Bachelor of Social Work degree at Pembroke State University. He retired from the Department of Social Services after 18 years of working as a social worker in Child Protective Services. Hal was a veteran who had proudly served his country in the US Army. He loved to sing, joke, laugh and also make other people smile. Hal loved his little family as he often would tell them so.

He leaves to cherish his memories, two daughters, Michelle Locklear Knight, and son-in-law, Anthony of Pembroke, North Carolina; Lenora Locklear of Lumberton, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Cody Hunt, Galin Hunt, and Jaron Locklear (Special Grandson), one great-grandson, Kingston Hunt, one nephew, Anthony Jacobs, of Stedman, North Carolina and a host of other relatives and friends.
