Mr. Gaston Locklear age 96, of Raeford, North Carolina was born on July 15, 1926, to the late Mr. Vonnie Locklear and the late Mrs. Norma Lee Goins Locklear in Hoke County. He departed this life into eternity on October 24, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He is preceded in death by his siblings, Lonnie Locklear, Catherine Locklear, Ready Bell Locklear, Harvey Lee Locklear.

Mr. Gaston was a devoted husband was married to his wife Mrs. Mildred B. Locklear for fifty four years and together they raised their family in a loving home. He worked at Catawba Timber Company for thirteen years. He started his own tree service and was self-employed in 1995. Mr. Gaston served the community as an attendant at the Bowmore Convenience Site for twenty- three years. He was the oldest church father and a beloved member of Piney Grove Holiness Church. He was a devoted husband father,grandfather,great-grandfather, brother, and a friend to many. He was the best Daddy to his girl Melody Locklear.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Mildred B. Locklear of the home, five sons, Gary Locklear (Audrey) of Raeford, North Carolina; Charles Dial (Barbara) of Maxton, North Carolina; Charles Godwin (Anna) of Aberdeen, North Carolina; Harvey Lee Bullard (Sheila) of Red Springs, North Carolina; James Bullard (Sandra) of Pembroke, North Carolina; a daughter, Melody Locklear of the home, special nephew, Russell Locklear and wife Nevelyn,sixteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
