Mr. Fermon Locklear age 80 of Red Springs, North Carolina was born on March 14, 1940 to the late Avery Locklear and the late Pearlie Mae Oxendine Locklear in Robeson County, North Carolina. He departed this life to eternal rest on December 2, 2020 at Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg, North Carolina. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by two sons: Tony Locklear and Stoney Locklear, two grandchildren: Olivia Cheyenne Hayes and Jonathan Locklear, one great grandchild Yasmine Locklear.

Mr. Fermon leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 60 years Martha Locklear of the home, two sons: Hermon Locklear and Fermon Jr. Locklear both of Red Springs, North Carolina, two daughters Barbara Locklear and Lisa Faye Locklear Hayes both of Red Springs, North Carolina, three brothers: Donald Locklear and wife Jennifer of Raeford, North Carolina, Joseph (Joe) Locklear of Lumberton, North Carolina, Herbert Locklear and wife Janet of Shannon, North Carolina, two sisters: Mable Wininger of French Lick, Indiana and Pauline Locklear of Raeford, North Carolina, special grandchildren Jalisa Hayes, Summer Locklear, Cieanna Jacobs and Nakema " Sissy " Locklear, eighteen grandchildren, thirty five great grandchildren, a special nephew Kirk Lowery along with a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
