Mrs. Evelyn Porter age 74 of Maxton, North Carolina was born on October 16, 1950, to the late Mrs. Eloise Locklear in Robeson County. She departed this life into eternity on Thursday, November 07, 2024, at Scotland Hospice in Laurinburg, North Carolina. Along with her biological mother, she is preceded in death by her adopted mother, Modies Jones, one daughter, Linda Faye Porter, one granddaughter, Everlina Dial.

Evelyn was a friend to many and will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Evelyn leaves to cherish her memories three grandchildren, Modest Emanuel of Rowland, North Carolina; David Emanuel of Maxton, North Carolina; and TC Emanuel, Jr of Lumberton, North Carolina; two brothers, Veril Ray Jones and James Albert Jones both of Maxton, North Carolina; 10 great-grands and a special granddaughter-in-law, Tierra Jacobs and a special friend Bethany Brooks and a host of other relatives and friends.
