Mr. Ernie Ray Locklear, 59 of Maxton, North Carolina was born on May 17, 1962, to the late Charles (Bolegs) Locklear and the late Mrytle Mae Locklear in Robeson County, North Carolina. He departed this life into eternity on, December 24, 2021, at Scotland Memorial Hospital, Laurinburg, North Carolina. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Bobby D. Locklear, his sister Betty A. Locklear.

Mr. Ernie leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 38 years: Lori Locklear of the home, one son: Aaron Locklear (Christina Blake) of Laurel Hill, North Carolina; two daughters: Tanya Haywood (Rev. Clyde) of Laurinburg, North Carolina; Deondra Woodell (Brantley) of Wilmington, North Carolina, three brothers, Charles E. Locklear (Diane) of Maxton, North Carolina; Jessie Oxendine (Kim) of Pembroke, North Carolina; William Locklear (Mary) of Red Springs, North Carolina; two sisters: Dorene Clark of Maxton, North Carolina, Annessa Locklear (Kenny) of Pembroke, North Carolina; grandchildren: Lynkon Woodell, Legend Woodell, Saylor Locklear, McKade Locklear, Titus Jones, Tandon Haywood, Bryce Haywood, Caynon Haywood, Cyrus Haywood along with a host of other relatives and friends.
