Mr. Elmore Anderson of Maxton NC was born on August 7, 1953 to the late Mr. James & Mrs. Stella Anderson. He went home to be with the Lord on October 28, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer. Elmore is preceded in death by his Loving Wife Mrs. Barbara Anderson. A Brother Mr. Carlton Anderson, and two Sisters Mrs. Letha May Jones and Mrs. Shirley Lowery.

Elmore Anderson and Barbara McMillian were married January 7, 1982 with a love like no other. When you saw one the other was not far behind. When Barbara passed away on October 28, 2021, no one would have thought Elmore would join her into eternity the same date 2 years later. This was no coincidence but a display of how strong and special their love was to one another.

He is survived by one Son Mr. Gary Anderson (Nina) of Pembroke NC.

Five Grandchildren: O'Brian Anderson (Michelle), Tyler Anderson (Jasmine), Fred Anderson (Ashlyn and Unborn Grandbaby), Aaron Anderson, Jim Bryson and Kaiya Locklear.

Six Great Grandchildren: Aiden, Paislee, Tyler Jr., Jacob, Allie, and Alaya

Three Special Friends: Ms. Deborah Locklear of Winston Salem NC, Mr. Tom Waltman of High Point NC and a Very Special and Dedicated Friend Mr. Jerry Locklear of Maxton NC

Elmore was a devoted member of New Prospect Methodist Church where he sang in the Adult, Combination and Men's Choirs. He was always willing to support the choir and sing solo if required. Elmore also served as Church Superintendent and as a Board member for many years.

Elmore was a dedicated employee with the Hoke County Department of Transportation from September 22, 1984 until retirement January 30, 2006.
