Elizabeth J. Lowery age 78 of Raeford, North Carolina was born on February 25, 1945, to the late James Chavis and the late Mary Jacobs Chavis in Scotland County, North Carolina. She departed this life on October 13, 2023, at Firsthealth Moore Regional, Pinehurst, North Carolina. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by two granddaughters Lisa Lowery Bryant and Latasha Gail Lowery, six brothers.

Elizabeth leaves to cherish her memories her husband: Lonnie Lowery of the home, one son: Lonnie Lowery Jr. (Laura) of Kentucky, two daughters: Lorene Chavez (Natividad) of Hamlet, North Carolina, Leslie Lowery of the home, three sisters: Stella Locklear (Robert) of Burlington, North Carolina, Mary Ann Stevens ( Willie), Essie Mae Stevens all of Raeford, North Carolina, six grandchildren: Chris Lowery, Marc Chavez (Desiree) Jonathan Lowery, Brandon Lowery (Suzy), Vannessa Lowery, Shelby Mince (Josh), twelve great grandchildren: Ananya, Nakoma, Shannon, Olivia, Sophia, Abram, Roman, Bella, Allison, Lilith, Elijah, Penelope, one great great grandchild: Kevon William Jr., uncle: Johnny Jacobs, aunts: Clarice Jacobs and Carrie Mae Rogers, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
