Mr. Dwight ( Pikey)  Hunt age 70 of Pembroke, North Carolina was born on March 10, 1951 to the late Mr. James Hunt and the late Mrs. Versie Hunt in Robeson County. He departed this life into eternity on August 22, 2021 at UNC Health Southeastern, Lumberton, North Carolina. Along with his parents he is  preceded in death by his wife Mrs. Ivene Jones Hunt, a grandson, Nathanial Oxendine-Lepine.

Dwight was Assistant Manager at Piggly Wiggly in Red Springs, NC.  He was a hardworking man, enjoyed his lawn services after retirement. He was a friend to all that knew him and always willing to lend a helping hand.

He leaves to cherish his memories, two daughters, Stevie Hunt of the home, Caroline Oxendine of Lumberton, North Carolina; two brothers Gary Hunt and wife Sandra of Pembroke, North Carolina; Kenneth Hunt of Lumberton, North Carolina ; two sisters, Carolyn  Oxendine and Jeannie Oxendine both of Pembroke, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Anthony Elijah Oxendine Jr and Raechel Locklear. three brother-in-laws, Mitchell Jones, Byron Jones, Kent Jones, four sister-in-laws, Joan Demery, Norene Oxendine, Irma Lambert, Rhonda Jones, and host of other relatives and friends.
