Mrs. Doris Ann McNeill Washington of (Duffie) Red Springs, NC, age 67 was born on December 14, 1953 in Hoke County, North Carolina to the late Mr. Sullivan McNeill and the late Mrs. Lena Bell Galbreath McNeill. She departed this life into her eternal home on December 18, 2020, at Novant Health Medical Center in Salisbury, North Carolina. Doris was preceded in death by her sister, Pauline, and later in life, her son, Eric O'Neill Washington on June 2, 2013.

She leaves to cherish her memories, two sons: Larry Sharod Washington of  New York; Derek McNeill Washington of Salisbury, NC; one daughter: Selena Washington of Salisbury, N.C.; two sisters: Betty McNeill of Red Springs, NC; Barbara Ross of Fayetteville, NC; seven grandchildren: Zy'lena Leller, Derek McNeill Washington, Jr., Kassandra Washington, Eric Washington, Elijah Washington, Michael Washington, Zyonna Washington and a host of other relatives and friends.
