Mrs. Doreen Mitchell Oxendine age 66 of Fairmont, North Carolina was born on July 20, 1956, to the late Mr. Gordon Mitchell and the late Mrs. Dora Hammonds Mitchell in Robeson County. She departed this life into eternity on March 26, 2023, at UNC Health Southeastern Medical Center. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Timmy Oxendine, four sisters, Cathy Pierce, Jeannie Jacobs, Geraldine Locklear, Helene Mitchell.

She leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter, Rosemary Chavis (Rodney) of Fairmont, North Carolina; three brothers, Gregory Mitchell, James Mitchell (Erica) all of Pembroke, North Carolina; Kenny Mitchell (Elizabeth) of Bladenboro, North Carolina; two sisters, Annette (Joe) Jones of Pembroke, North Carolina; Melissa Mitchell of Lumberton, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Cody Chavis of the home, Keith Dwayne Chavis of Gresham, Oregon, special niece, Brooke Chavis, brother-in-law, Malcolm Pierce, a special nephew: Jerry Mitchell and a host of other relatives and friends.
