Mrs. Donnie Brooks age 77 was born on January 13, 1942 to the late D.C. Locklear and the late Betty Oxendine Locklear in Robeson County, North Carolina. She departed this life on Thursday June 6, 2019 at her residence. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Calvin Brooks three sons J.L.Locklear, Ronald Jones, and Terry Jones, her siblings Shirley Guitterez, Terry Gene Locklear, Vergie Butler, Gerald Locklear, Dan Dee Locklear, Franklin Locklear, Panuel Locklear, and Kenneth Locklear.

Mrs. Donnie leaves to cherish her memories four daughters Maurice (Brenda) Locklear, Tonie Ann Jones, Suzette Jones and Patty Faye Oxendine all of Fayetteville, North Carolina, one brother Parnell Locklear of Red Springs, North Carolina, two sisters Patsy Locklear of Red Springs, North Carolina and Betty Ann Carter of Virginia, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
