Mr. Don Barton age 81 of Maxton, North Carolina was born on February 8, 1945, to the late English Barton and the late Allie Bertha Locklear Barton in Robeson County, North Carolina. He departed this life on August 28, 2026, at his son's home surrounded by family. He was preceded in death by his wife Geneva Barton, his parents, English (Black) Barton and Allie Bertha (Bird) Barton, a granddaughter, Brittany Hunt, six brothers, Hubert (Bo) Barton, Louis (Bunk) Barton, Johnny (Bossy) Barton, L.B. Barton, Homer Barton, Herbert (Top) Barton, two sisters, Mary Lee (Mable) Jones, Barbara Ann Collins.

Mr. Don attended Hoke County Church of God in Red Springs, North Carolina, he retired from West Point Stevens Plant, he enjoyed spending time with his family and taking care of his chickens.

Mr. Don leaves to cherish his memories his son: Rev. Charles Barton and Wife Melissa, two daughters: Sherry Osuna and Annette Hodges, sisters: Faye Bullard and husband Bobby, Annie Faye Chavis, Caroline Locklear and husband Can, Doris Barton, Pauline Miller and husband Gus, eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
