The Obituary

Ms. Dominique Beatrice Amerson, age 38, of Maxton, North Carolina was born on September 16, 1987, to the late Tony Amerson and to Martina Warriax Amerson in Lee County, North Carolina.

One of Dominique’s greatest aspirations was to become a Registered Nurse. With compassion in her heart and a genuine desire to help others, she enrolled as a nursing student at Richmond Community College and worked diligently toward earning her nursing degree.

Although Dominique was unable to complete her studies, it was never because of a lack of determination, dedication, or passion. The rigorous demands of cancer immunotherapy treatment placed an increasingly heavy burden on her body, making it difficult to continue pursuing her educational goals. Even so, her commitment to serving others never wavered.

She walked through this life with an open heart, giving freely, loving deeply, and trusting God completely, She did not fear death, for she knew where she was going, and she leaves behind a legacy of kindness that will live on in all who knew her.

Ms. Dominique leaves to cherish her memories: her mother: Martina Warriax Amerson (Frank Lowery), one daughter: Meela Sky Rivers, sisters: Jessica Foster (Willie Foster), Toni Amerson (Kiara Watson), nephews: Kaylon Williams and Omari Foster, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
