Obituary

Dianne Bryant Belcher was born on October 6, 1947, and God called her for eternal rest to her heavenly home in Heaven on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Scotland Memorial Hospital, Laurinburg, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Mary Bryant, and the father of her children, Darrell Thomas Belcher.

Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear.

Dianne was a member of Cherokee Chapel Holiness Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for 20 years.  She assumed many "hats" working in the Church.  She was a member of the Adult Choir singing in the Alto slot.

She attended Selena Commercial College and began her work career at USDA (Farmers Home Administration) in 1966 in Lumberton.  She continued her employment with USDA (Rural Development) (same Agency) until January 1, 2010, in Rockingham when she retired.  Her work career also included being the Secretary/Treasurer of the Lumber River Conference of the Holiness Methodist Church when she started in November, 2007.  She loved to say "I keep nine (9) churches (Pastors) plus the Lumber River Conference of the Holiness Methodist Church straight".

Her first love was God/Jesus/Holy Spirit.  She loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchild, family and friends to the "moon and back".  She enjoyed working in her many flower gardens.

Dianne is survived by her daughters, Susan Deese (William), of Rowland, and Deidre Howell (William) of Lumberton and son, Adam Belcher (Ashley) of Maxton.  Her grandchildren:  Alexis Locklear (Travis), Joshua Belcher, Ariel Melvin, Cody Belcher, Christian Bell, Mason Deese, Alex Belcher, MacKenzie Melvin, Tyler Locklear, Hayle Locklear, Konner Belcher  and great granddaughter, Abigail Locklear. Her sisters, Rose Driggers and Barbara Colbert and brother, Ronald Bryant, all of Maxton.  Her special friends: Mary Locklear and Elaine and Eddie Cagle and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
