Deric Ross Jernigan was born on April 26, 1970, and made his heavenly arrival on Thursday March 05, 2026, at the age of 55-years-old. He was preceded in death by his mother Judith Ann Jernigan and his grandmother Helen Neal Miller.

He leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife, Sherrie Jernigan of the home, one son, Deric Jernigan Jr of Shannon, North Carolina; two daughters, Dariene Jernigan of the home, R'gintina Sullivan and husband Cody of Rowland, North Carolina; four grandchildren who was his pride and joy, Miakya, Dawson, K'son, and Colson. His father, Lee Jernigan of Pembroke, North Carolina; Three sisters, Cinda Jernigan, Gwenna Jernigan, and Robin Jernigan all of Rowland, North Carolina; one brother, Bradlee Jernigan of Pembroke, North Carolina; special friends, Keithan, Will, Mike, and Chop. A host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Deric was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. His legacy will live on through his son and grandsons. He also enjoyed spending time with his family; but most of all, he loved the Lord. We will love you always Baby. Love your wife and family.
