Dane Locklear age 76 of Rowland, North Carolina was born on November 17, 1949, to the late Ashley Locklear and the late Sarah Ann Dial Locklear in Scotland County, North Carolina. He departed this life on July 20, 2026, at the Pembroke Center, Pembroke, North Carolina. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Fennie "Fuzzie" Lloyd Locklear, a sister, Dorothy Cummings, two grandchildren, Donald Tubbs Jr., and Tangie Locklear.

Dane leaves to cherish his memories two sons: Dane Locklear Jr. and Johnny Locklear both of Rowland, North Carolina, two daughters: Kecia Tubbs of Lumberton, North Carolina, Lisa Locklear of Rowland, North Carolina, one brother: Ted Locklear (Susan) of Rowland, North Carolina, one sister: Tessie L. Locklear (Donald) of Maxton, North Carolina, seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends.
